Cut-out ankle booties are this year spring must have or try shoes. I am often asked how to wear them and if its worth to buy a pair of booties for spring when we are sick of wearing booties/boots all winter. In my opinion it really depends on your style and lifestyle. I can see pairing the booties with many outfits but as I am working in the creative environment its easier for me to be a little more creative during business meetings. If you are working in the corporate world I would not recommend investing in ankle booties but nice nude pair of pumps.
Below are outfits that I think would look absolutely gorgeous for spring and you can
decide if this style suits you and if cut-out ankle booties fit your style and personality.
Outfit #1 - Outfit where pattern pants, colour, sparkle and cutout booties are featured as statement pieces. Why it works? This trendy outfit features spring must haves but in soft neutral colours. Blue coat ties the outfit together and adds elegant finish. However, if you are not a fan of classic coats you could easily transform this outfit into weekend wear by adding jean jacket and white flats.
Outfit #2 - Lunch meeting, sunday brunch or early dinner with your girlfriends. This outfit is where work and play come together. Soft colours are acceptable for work lunch. However, cut-out booties and these statement earring show off your creative/fashionable side.
Outfit #3 - Casual Friday inspired outfit and my personal favourite. Boyfriend jeans in dressed up version with crispy white top and jacket. Polished bag and soft make-up are just perfect addition.
Cold and long canadian winter has made me dreaming about warm and sunny spring days. It seems forever since I've taken long walk and enjoy sunny day outside our house. With temperatures below freezing and continues snow storms it seems like counting days till spring it's not only recommended but necessary to survive winter blues.
All of my favourite fashion magazines are blooming with spring fashion and it got me thinking what are my add-ons this year. I love that feeling when I get into my closet and organize everything, plan for new outfits and make a list of new items or fashion statement pieces I would like to introduce into my spring outfits. Above is my inspiration board, featuring items I would love to add to my wardrobe, the colours I like and make-up I would love to try.
Now, all is left is just wait for spring and time when we can enjoy outdoor activities that do not involve shovelling the snow.
